It took us nearly 2 hours with 2 people to scrape the residue left on a hardwood flow. Did not even try to remove the one on the carpet, we had to throw the carpet away. We used as instructed and tried all the tricks mentioned to remove the residue.

Works great! Sticky enough that my carpets haven't shifted at all and I have an 80 lb dog and 2 cats that chase each other running on them. Its been 3 months and Ive had no issues at all. Easy to apply, sticks well. You can remove it from floor with no damage. Highly recommended.

Having a puppy in the house meant our rugs were always slipping on the laminate flooring. This tape was a perfect solution. We taped the rug underlay to the rug itself, then repeated to the floor. No matter how our dog runs he no longer pulls them up or moves them. Haven’t attempted to remove the tape, I do hope it doesn’t leave residue as advertised!

I really like this product. Best I've seen of its type to date. Following the directions really helps and the negative remarks can be traced to a failure to follow rhe directions.It is difficult to use on large area rugs/carpets but that's more a factor of size and getting it in place. But once you have it correctly installed it works well. If it's a large rugs though you will need the assistance of a couple of people as once its stuck down you really don't want to compromize the adhesion by pealing it back up to reposition it.I have a motorized wheelchair with a grossweight of 450 LBS and that tends to make it buckle on the edges of the rug where my chair rolls over it 10 or more times a day. Still, it's only become a recent problem and it's been installed for 6 months now so that isn't bad.

I bought an area rug for my living room, set it out, and immediately my large dog flipped the corner up and began burying his toys under it. This created giant ripples which looked a lot like tunnels to my cat who started crawling through them, while my smaller dog stood on top off the rug and tired to catch him.I was beginning to think we were just going to be a ruggless household until a Google search lead me here.It was a struggle to get down, but well worth it. One issue I had that another reviewer mentioned was that the tape gets stuck to your scissors. I found though if you wipe them with a sanitizer wipe after each cut this helps tremendously.I've had it down for a week and so far no one has managed to dislodge it. I did use the entire roll but that's partly because a messed up halfway through and had to start over and partly because I was putting strips down every 4-6in as I knew it was about to take a beating. I can tell you, on the part I had to redo there was absolutely no residue on the carpet dispite how incredibly sticky this is?!?!Based on my experience I would definitely recommend having less pets to help keep your rugs straight, but if that's not an option this tape will do the trick.
