Fitment: 2017 Fat Bob. black. (initial info - not installed yet)First the good: The bar was spiral wrapped with plastic, then over wrapped with "water pipe foam" THEN spiral overwrapped again with plastic - best packaging I have ever seen! The bar has a 'deep' finish, not cheap paint. The SHAPED foot pads are EASILY removable (by a pin) and actually have a tapered rise to the end. These are REALLY NICE for the money and it's too bad there is no picture of them. You can literally put them anywhere and rotate them as you feel or even turn them around.The "not so good:" People have mentioned 'they slip around easily' which is true. HOWEVER, it is a simple step to find your COMFORT position, put two sided tape on the bar and fasten the Foot Pad in place which will mostly lock it down. I imagine you could drill a hole in them and screw them down too if you can't except that. The ONE THING I found that I did not like at all was the U-BOLTS are wimpy. Beside being M8-1.25 thread and even thinner root diameter, they do not come close to filling the sloppy holes in the bar mount. They are so different the you will 'cup' the washer into the Bar's Holes as you tighten them nuts down. You really need a "hard" washer (that won't bend into the holes) to mount these better. CURRENTLY I am looking for a better fitting and beefier STAINLESS U-Bolt to replace them entirely before I install it - then I'll let you know more...ADDITION: used bigger Stainless U-Bolts = very nice. One install issue was the top 'boss' for the bolt was not even close to inline with the U-Bolt (frame) mounting. Had to be VERY careful on the install and never could get top bolt to tighten fully or else I would have snapped it off. Still good for the price & in hindsight, will use one of my STN STL Spherical washers in between if I should ever take it off.

Well, money wise, it is great deal. Absolutly same guard from H-D will cost you $290.You will need different horn bracket. It can be purchased from H-D.It is really difficult to tight top mount bolt, unless you have 10 y.o. girl hands. But even with that it is almost impossible to place ratchet between front cylinder and bike frame to make appropriate tight.The solution, i think, would be to drill through the top mount and pipe. Use longer bolt with the nut. This will simplify and make much easy instalation process.And if you will spray black paint on bolts and nuts after instalation, it might look like factory origine.
