These worked great, I’m using them mainly for safety when adding accessories to my vehicle. You know, current flow in one direction only, no back flow into the vehicle systems if anything goes wrong.Plus they have the low voltage drop when forward biased.

These diodes appear to be well-constructed. Surprisingly, the leads are very heavy wire - larger than expected and almost too large for my Ardunio breadboard. I've used only 5 or 6 of them so far on a project, but all have been functional. There's not much more that can be said about a diode. Forward voltage drop is almost exactly 0.5vdc which works perfectly to reduce 5vdc USB power to 4.5vdc (3AA or 3AAA battery-powered devices). With a 3 amp rating, these diodes will survive running off of any common USB power adapter.

What can I say, it's a 1N5822 Schottky diode, great as a fly back diode when driving inductive loads with a MOSFET. I'm on a MOSFET switch board that really should have come with a diode included since I suspect most of the time they are used to drive motors, relays, or solenoids. Any inductive load needs to have a fly back diode to shunt the discharge current from the inductive load. If not shunted, the voltage will rise until the MOSFET breaks down and is eventually damaged.
