Survived shipping due to the best packaging job I've ever seen. Runs great as a replacement on my maddog trike and seems to have more power than the stock motor did before I grenaded it. Only con was supplied stator was over charging and cost me a cdi and voltage regulator, coil. They sent a replacement quickly but I had to slot pickup mounting holes to get within firing specs. That being said I plan to purchase another for a different project and would recommend

I run my scooter hard and put a good many miles on them. Because of this I usually don't get more than 18 months or 2000 miles out of an engine. I bought one of these engines about 2 years ago and got about 2000 miles out of it. I was satisfied. It was still running a few weeks ago when I pulled it and replaced it with a new one. At the engine swap I replaced the CDI, coil/spark plug wire, and the carburetor. I recommend this engine.

This engine is a really really good engine, if you have done your research and know this engine will fit your moped it is the perfect engine to throw in there, this engine fits most Chinese scooters with 12-13 inch wheels, when I installed mine I didn’t need to weld or move anything I popped it right in there with no previous mechanic experience, I do have one complaint but I’m not deducting any stars because I should have done a little more research but this engine does have a pair emission system, basically what that is, is some stupid system reroute the emissions through a filter instead of getting burned or something like that in order to help the environment but the moped is so gas efficient I don’t care about the emissions and I found a simple 2 minute fix for that on YouTube just searching “gy6 pair system removal” one thing any new buyer should note is they do ship it with oil and the oil they ship it with is not the correct oil for the engine, you want to change that oil before running it because the oil they ship with is “shipping oil” it is way thicker than what you want, the oil you want should be a 10w40, I LOVE THIS ENGINE SO MUCH, I bought me a new project moped and I am soon going to buy a second one of this exact engine

Installed on my 2012 GMW V150 (now known as Wolf V150) scooter. Great little engine! Starts with one kick or a millisecond push of the electric start button. She's a peppy little thing too, she flies! What a great buy! I had been looking at purchasing a brand new scooter when an undiscovered oil leak caused major damage to my original engine. I found that I would be spending AT LEAST $1,800 probably more. Then I found this little beauty, and for less than $500 ($410 for engine +shipping, and approx. $80 on new carb and a couple other miscellaneous parts) I now have brand new scooter that is already registered, tagged, titled and ready to ride. You just can't beat that type of savings!Oh, and this was my first ever engine install. With everything necessary included on this engine (even down to the breather tube, and rear brake shoes/pads) this was a very straightforward, simple swap out. It could not have been simpler. Been riding, worry free, for a little over two months now. Loving it!!
