Not the most mechanically talented person, but a couple of YT videos later, I was able to diagnose and replace the part I needed. My lawnmower wouldn't stay running and would starting to sputter and die. After searching for what its symptoms I was having, it lead me to the possibility that I had a clogged carburate.I watched what I t would take to clean it. and figured I'd just buy a new one. So I did. Removing the old one and installing the new one was pretty straight forward. It made a huge difference. Now it's running fine with no issues or bogging down when I get to a denser patch of grass that would bog it down before.

I got this for a Toro recycler 22 that was running a couple minutes then stalling. I don't know enough about engines to diagnose what was going on so I just went with this full kit. Carb and spark plug replacement took all of 30 minutes, and that was me going slow (take pictures before disassembly, there are no instructions). Everything in the picture up top was included; notably missing was an air filter side gasket so save the one you have. You'll need a deep 16 mm socket to do the spark plug. Hardest part was getting the control rods on and off the carb, I had to remove the muffler to get the right angle (easy). The supplied air filter was larger than the old one but it does fit. When done the lawn mower started on half a pull! Very pleased with how cheap and easy this fix was!

I went online for my model of engine, the carburetor kit contained every part needed to give the engine a fresh start. Hose, filter, plug, clamps and carburetor. The heat shield was generic for different choke configuration, my engine need the shield to be trimmed to the shape of the original shield. Great fix and mower ran like new.

The kit did not really have any instructions, but I am very familiar with small engines on up. The most difficult thing to encounter is remembering where the arms go for the carburetor and the choke and how they are assembled and this assembled.. all the parts in the tank, the mower started on the second of the cord and ran perfectly. The only negative I could say is the gas line had a smaller ID than the original one that was on the Toro mower. Instead of going out for a new gas line, I auger it out very gently with a drillbit and then it slid right on where I can clamp the lines together with no leaks. If you have basic skills with tools, you can easily accomplish this. It took me about 35 minutes, but I have done this many times in my lifetime. If you are the least bit mechanically inclined, you will be able to utilize every part of the kit, and the carburetor was wonderful functioning immediately..

Nicely packaged. Comes with a bunch of extra items, like air filter, spark plug, fuel hose, hose clamps, fuel filter, manifold gasket. Doesn’t include air intake gasket that goes between the carb and the air filter base, so hold on to your original. Easy to install. Engine started and ran perfectly after install. No surging. I would buy again.

After our Toro was flooded by Hurrican IAN, I did teh best n trying to get it running again. I was able to get it started finally, but only after a BUNCH of hard pulls! I opted for the new carb instead. Took the old one out via a very good You Tube video and the new carb went in perfectly. WIth new gas and plug, I did a few pulls and VOILA,,,,,started and ran just fine. It also came with several additional part that added to its real value. A great kit for a quick fix.

Apparently Kohler made one very slight modification on models newer than mine. Other reviewers have mentioned that the "auto choke linkage" was wrong but I didn't have enough experience with engines to understand what that meant. In this case, it means that the new carburetor is identical to the old one with one very minor difference. In the photo, my old carburetor is on the left, and the new one is on the right, with the auto choke linkage highlighted. The difference is big enough that the new version can't be installed on my older engine, even though it is identical in all other regards. Before you order this one, go look at your engine and be sure that the linkage matches the one on the right.I'm sure the carburetor works fine, but I'm giving it one star because the seller needs to change the description in order to make it apparent for the less experienced (like myself) that there is a slight but very important difference between this one and older versions.
