The Velcro tab on these neoprene socks is way too short to fasten around my ankles and I’m a petite person. So it doesn’t function to seal the top of the socks to keep sand out. However, I like everything else about these neoprene socks. They seem to be good quality and fit me well. I have a below the ankle style that serves me well.

Bought these for my kids for a beach soccer tournament and they worked great. During the warmest part of the day when the sand is its hottest I do recommend wearing socks underneath.

So take all claims for sand proof with a grain of sand. While any product like this will help reduce getting sand on you, doing anything active (volleyball for example) is a good chance you will kick up sand that will still manage to get inside the sock. It does do a decent job though keeping out the sand.

I didn't get these for walking around in and instead wanted a pair of neoprene socks to go between my feet and my dive fins. They fit great, are very comfortable and are easy to take on and off. As a beach sock they are a bit on the thin side and the sole will offer some protection but honestly not the level I would want if walking on rougher surfaces so I would only recommend these for playing in sandy areas.

I purchased these socks for playing beach volleyball in the winter. They work extremely well for keeping my feet warm in the cold sand, and they have a good grip. The blue is a cool color too. I wear a size 6.5 -7.5 shoe size, and I ordered the small. The small size fits perfect over a normal pair of socks, and the Velcro works perfect. Overall, these socks are perfect for cold weather sand activities!

I wear a men's size 10 1/2, and bought the large which according to the size chart says 10-11. With it being neoprene, it is stretchy, but the bottom with the grippies is just a bit too short. However this doesn't really impact anything too negatively. They're easy to get on, comfortable, and stayed in place while walking along the beach.My only complaint is the quality of the materials is a bit poor. After the second day of wearing these, you can see the neoprene ripping along the top seam. So as a consumable, it's great, though then I'd want it to be maybe 1/2 the price.
