Wow…..after trying/buying tons of mouthpieces (both Rubber and Metal), I have found my sound. The Altisimo just Pops Out, and the sound can be both mellow in the low end and POWERFUL in the Top end. I prefer this Yanagisawa 7 over both the Dukoff D7 and the Beecher Bellite 7. I use Plasticover 2.5 reeds with everything. This Mouthpiece is not for everyone, obviously, but it is very capable in the right setting.

Bought this Mouthpiece as a replacement to my Rubber Runyon Mouthpiece, and i couldnt be more happier with the moutpiece. Very responsive and beautiful Sound.

Very loud and bright mouthpiece. Professional quality, intonation, and tone. Not recommended for shy personalities.

So I've had this mouthpiece for almost a year now and the only thing I really don't like about is getting anything higher than an above the staff D and below the staff D is extremely difficult. Other than that the tone of it is amazing and very bright sounding. If you are 1st chair in a jazz setting with a lot of solos this is perfect for you because it cuts through just about everything.
