Very sturdy and easy to install. The look is just what we wanted for our upper deck. Functions well for safety. Couldn’t find anything near the price elsewhere

Posts are strong and well made. The finish is well done and not rough or streaked. The rail attachment piece pivots easily and tightens down securely. My only complaint is that the hardware is not as good of quality. I used the long silvery screws. These can be tightened with a 10mm socket or a screwdriver. Don't use the screwdriver method if you can avoid it. The screw metal is soft, and any slip with almost immediately strip out the head. Using the ratchet, I had only one issue. As I tightened one down, the screw broke. I had to drill out the black base hole a little and put another screw in there. The ornamental covering hides the screw heads, so there was no obvious modification.

This railing post kit was used for an interior custom installation at a church. The flexibility to select a custom wooden handrail to be used with these black posts worked very well, allowing for custom staining to meet our needs. As desired, this provided a very safe and sturdy set of handrails.

product easy to install, very sturdy, but only sent three of the four decorative lag bolt covers and can't find one to replace the missing one without buying another complete post.

We sold our home and the buyer was financing with FHA / Rural Development. This requires certain safety features to be installed before the sale can go through. No chipping paint, GFI outlets in the bathroom, and... Railings. We had 10 days to install a handrail for our stairway or the sale was off. There was no way we were going to get a contractor in our house in such a short time in our area, 2 weeks minimum. These railings really saved us.IMPORTANT: Even if you put one of these on every step they will not be code compliant and certain inspectors will cry foul. The reason for this is that railings need to prevent a 4" ball from passing through and falling off of the stairs. This is to keep children safe. Keep that in mind if you have little ones or a inspector who specified a code compliant railing. For our purposes it was a terrific solution, and a huge improvement to safety. Looks good, too.
