Lighter than original 8.8 Ford carrier. Could not find side gears and shaft for my 1983 F-150. Could only find one carrier and it was $1,000. This is half the price with side gears that are twice as strong as factory. Love it!

I ordered a Yukon duragrip locker October 17th 2023. 1 paid $400 to have it installed in my 2005 Mustang GT (31 spline rear axle) Keep in mind this car makes under 350 HP.I ordered this because I work at a performance shop that is a dealer for Yukon. We install your products all the time.I did a 700 mile break in before ANY harsh driving and then a rearend service. Last weekend it did 2 hard launches. The 3rd hard launch the entire unit exploded. This locker has less than 7,000 miles on it and didn't have any hard launches until last weekend. I was not on radials or slicks. I was on street tires. I'm not sure why this happened to a car that is on 20" street tires, factory clutch, factory trans (TR3650), and a factory FAILURE PRONE 2 PEICE DRIVESHAFT(which I was expecting to break first before a built rearend matched with Yukon 3.73s and your posi.I'm hoping we can get this warrantied. I would also really like to be reimbursed because my installer is charging me another $350 to re install the posi when it comes in.
