I put it in my truck hoping that that was the problem turns out now it is the problem because it's a faulty sensor doesn't work

That high intake temp reading would probably throw off the computer calculations for how much fuel to inject. Cold starts might be difficult. Fortunately I run an Edge CTS3 console on this truck so we spotted the high intake air temp reading right away. With no Edge, it could go undetected until the first freeze of Winter.We switched to a sensor from the Ford dealer and it worked fine.So this one was either defective or they all are. Use caution. When buying inexpensive sensors like this, Amazon is convenient, but quality can be an issue.
