The extension allows for easier monitoring, without a drop in quality. Only issue really is the cumbersome nature of the item during transport, but that's to be expected.

Rather than get the 6 foot extension cable for mic capsules, I got two 3-foot cables instead, which covers all my needs and then some.While the Zoom H6's built in XY cable is not the best mic in the world, for voice, it's pretty darn good.This cable allows you to avoid awkward setups, allowing you to have the H6 wherever is most convenient, while positioning the XY capsule in a more ideal distance and angle from the sound source.It's also useful when you want to turn the XY capsule towards you while maintaining visibility to the H6 screen.Very handy.

This unit DOES NOT include the pictured tripod. It's a great product, buy it, just understand that part.Having said that, the product is OTHERWISE as described, excellent heavy duty quality, and exactly what I needed for my H5. Great product. Lousy packaging and listing.

This really helps with using the Zoom on-board mic attachments. Now I can have them suspended above my handpan and still be able to work with the controls on the Zoom H6 recorder! This is not an isolated mounting, so I have to be careful to not touch the tripod mount in any way or the lead because it will result in loud noise on the recording, but in my application that's not much of an issue and I'm quite pleased!

It is well made and exactly as shown. The problem is that the choice of a gopro style mount with just a 1/4" #20 female does not allow for any type of shock mount. When this is mounted on a boom anything that touches the boom will make a lot of noise. Mics need to be suspended on a shock mount for professional use. This thing is going to be a nightmare until I figure out how to mount it.

Gives more flexibility where mic can be placed (height and location). At first, I thought it was a little expensive. After I received it I realized how well made this adapter was. Great quality.

This extension cable fits perfectly into my workflow. I mount the capsule end to my DSLR and let the rest of the cable hang, adjusting the slack as necessary.

This is a very useful accessory, especially when used with a zoom head on a tall mic stand or a shotgun on a boom. BUT - keep in mind that the input trim control is still on the mic head, itself, so you CANNOT adjust the input level without getting to the head. So, either set the recorder for a safety track or adjust it carefully before placement. Otherwise, a good accessory if you need it.
