I recently converted to a tankless water heater, it was suggested in the manual to have an expansion tank in the system with the recirculation "always hot" system employed. My local plumbing supply didn't yet stock compact tanks, but were planning to add them. I found this 1/2gal model on Amazon and it is the perfect size for my installation. It's up and running now and is working perfectly. I added a pressure gage as well and I can see the pressure being smoothly modulated with the home in normal operation. The tank itself is about the size of a milk carton and is like a piece of stainless steel artwork! I look forward to many years of quiet reliable hot water!
