This appears to be a nice product, it is thinner thread than I was expecting, but should still work fine to replace the serving on my pistol crossbow. I'm sure these two spools will last a very long time. Quality is good and came on time.

The Bow string is a very pretty multi colored string. I am using it for leather stitching on wallets and other small items. This stuff is strong and does not stretch out at all. Give it a try!

695ZSHJGJR Archery Bowstring Serving Thread 2Pcs - 400D 3 Strands .020 inch Thickness Nylon Bow String Serving Thread.I have made my own bowstrings in the past but it’s been quite a while. I have been wanting to get back into it, and I have several bows that don’t have strings. So, I ordered this serving thread and will be getting everything else I need to complete a string or two. I’m an amateur bow hunter, but I really enjoy it and want to do more. This seems like good strong thread and I feel that it will be perfect for my uses. The Important thing with serving thread is that it stands up to abrasion. Wrapping the string with serving thread extends the life of the string and improved performance. I ordered the yellow, but its really a bit golden in color, which is nice. This was very reasonably priced for the two pack, and I’m happy with it.

Serving thread for now is recommended to have a diameter between 0.018”-0.021”. This thread falls within that range. As with other thread I’ve order from China, the spool isn’t neatly wound like sewing thread. The thread seems normal and burns cleanly. I used one strand to secure a loose arrow nock. It will also be used to create bowstring nocks.

Newbie here and I inhereited a bow and want to put another string on it and got this. My bad, I discovered using serving thread, such as this 400D with a thickness of .020 inches, to restring a compound bow is not recommended. I found out that Serving thread is typically used to wrap around the bowstring's ends (where it contacts the cam or the string loops) to protect the string and provide a smooth surface for the release aid to slide along. There is no product info on the 2 spools I received so gathered info from the listing.1. Material: Look for strings made from high-quality materials like Dacron, Fast Flight, or Dyneema. Each material has its own advantages in terms of durability, stretch, and performance. This thread is Dyneema Overall, Dyneema bowstrings offer a winning combination of strength, low stretch, durability, and consistency, making them a preferred choice for many archers seeking high-performance equipment.2. Strand Count: Higher strand counts generally mean a stronger and more durable string. However, more strands can also lead to a thicker string, which may affect arrow speed. a common strand count range for compound bow strings is between 24 to 28 strands. This spool seems to be 3 strand confirming it is just a serving thread as listed.3. String Length: Ensure the string is the correct length for your bow's specifications. Using the wrong length can affect the bow's performance and accuracy. I could not confirm the length of string as I did not want to unwind it, since I did not have a purpose at this time for thisserving string without fixing the old bowstring.4. String Thickness: Thinner strings tend to offer less drag and better arrow speed, but they may sacrifice durability. Balance the thickness with your need for speed and durability. This string seems to be .020 inch thickness5. Pre-Stretching: Some strings come pre-stretched, which can reduce the amount of stretching needed during the break-in period and provide more consistent performance. Does not appear to be pre-stretched.Listing does say it is good for Sight Nock Point, so I might end up using this serving thread for that later when I figure out how to do that.
