Your cart is empty.The 700XL Dual Check Valve with 3/4 in. female union inlet x 3/4" female outlet is used in low hazard applications on potable water lines to protect against both backsiphonage and backpressure of polluted water. A non-testable device, the 700XL can be installed horizontally or vertically so long as no part of the unit is submerged and will provide protection where a potential health hazard does not exist. The quality stainless steel springs and low-lead bronze body resist against corrosion and the valve is ASSE Listed and CSA Certified.

After reading another review about a missing gasket, I checked the valve before installing and the gasket was not included. I called Zurn and the representative explained the gasket should be within the valve, which it wasn’t. The Zurn rep was very helpful and I ordered a replacement directly from Zurn. Before the install check for the gasket to avoid leaks.

You can control flow by simply removing one of the valve innards. Our water is so hard 667 ppm and it plugs and locks most valves shut and I have tried many. I ordered this valve 4 months ago and when installing this new valve in the other part of my solar system, I disassembled the other valve and found NO BUILD UP on the older valve!! This is the only way to go. I did reduce the spring pressure because it is working with a Taco pump and I want no reduction of flow. Best check valve on the market.

Seems like a great product but it doesn't come with all the parts required and will leak without them. As alluded to in other reviews the gasket at the union is missing. Specs on Zern website state that this model should have the gasket. For the price $$$, this should work and have all required parts. Disappointing. Too late to return and now need to order separate gasket for more $.

To take it off, FIRST you have to loose up the " union nut" ( the big nut at the proximal end with multiple sides) by CLOCKWISE turn, then you can loose up the proximal and distal ends. I replaced it because after 12 yrs, it has very loud noise. There are 2 same plastic check assemblies inside, they looks ok though. The brass enclosure is never need to be replaced.

Bought it because of slightly lower pressure drop than other brands, Internal parts come out easily for cleaning/servicing. Only reason I did not give it 5 stars is the union goes from loose to "full stop tight" instantly, and from tight to loose just as quickly, leaving me wondering if it could come loose on its own over time.
