The only issue i find is the fact that they drilled a second hole into the burning chamber but no seal on the top part that screws it shut so fuel leaks out a bit i just shoved a toothpick in there and its works well

Cute little gadget , can put any flammable fluid and it will burn like a candle . All different run times . Definitely an indoor gadget .

I like that it fits inside a 35mm film cannister.It does NOT sit securely inside the mini UCO tealite lantern as others have said.It gets extremely hot, then off-gasses vapor through the vent hole, which ignites to a pilot flame.Cool idea but I am really struggling to find a valid use for it.

This is a well crafted product, but it could use some improvement. The wick hole could be a little bigger, and the top lid needs a rubber gasket to prevent alcohol from leaking out when the unit is stored in a backpack or any other transport device. This product worked well as a heating unit when filled with 90% alcohol. It also makes for a good tent light or reading lamp. This product has my recommendation. Fred.

Because of the simplicity of the product, there isn't much to say about it. The hole for the wick is small. It was too small for the wick directly so in order to insert the wick, you have to get creative. I used a small string to wrap around the end of the wick so I could pick it through the hole. Others apparently used tape for the same process which would work. The product itself seems good and it doesn't necessarily leak. It has a vent hole so including the wick hole there is a chance for liquid to come out. You might be safer to actually store it upside down when traveling since vacuums would keep it from leaking too much, but if it fell on its side then it might leak some. That said, the leaking is only near the wick and if you are using 91% rubbing alcohol then it would evaporate fast enough to not be a problem. The device actually doesn't store that much fluid which is both a good and bad thing as if it leaks then you haven't lost a lot and filling is quick. That said, since there is not a lot of fluid then you should not expect a super long burn time. The device is small though so it wasn't expected. I mainly got it so I could have a havds free flame for working with Paracord but this has many other benefits too! For example, if you are into wax sealing then having a small flame is nice. You can even adjust the flame if you adjust the amount of exposed wick. The wick also seems to last a while, probably because it is wet with fluid which helps keep it from burning directly. Mine came with two wicks which will probably last me a very long time though your milage may very. Also, I didn't have to wait long after filling and putting the cap back on to test it since the wick absorbed the alcohol quickly. All in all, if the wick was easier to put in, the 5 stars, instead it's 4 for me.-Update-I am convinced that the wicks are the same ones you would get for a zippo lighter. Otherwise, the zippo wicks are slightly larger than the ones (2) provided with this product.

First of all it’s freakin adorable, to cute for words. You might need a tiny funnel and it’s about two caps full to fill it, it’s small. I couldn’t get the wick it came with thru the hole it was to thick. I found a thin twine like string and unraveled it using a piece as the wick. I was very impressed it put off some heat and light but you would need to be enclosed area. It won’t boil more than 1/2 cup of water on one fill and it’s not easy to refill when it’s hot.
