I have seen cheap stakes that I would never use. These are inexpensive stakes that I would recommend to anyone not wanting to pay the price for MSR (which I consider the best). Well made, no sharp edges, no notches which may look impressive but actually greatly weaken the stake. I abused one just to see, and found it held up well, and a decent stuff sack also. 7" is a good all around length for tents, tarps, and most applications. Of course if anchoring a large group tarp or high wind soft soil you may need to go longer. Pin, round wire, and Sheppard hook stakes will never hold as well as a "Y" stake (which these are).I would buy again.

These pencil sized stakes looked like I had been a victim of a scam! I was in a timely pinch to get a banner up, so hey...give 'em a try! They are just what the doctor ordered! Small, very very strong and no wind blow back on the banner 4 days later! Reciommended!

These are good replacement stakes for my tarp set up, not to heavy, sturdy enough for the soil I deal with, and a good price. I do wish they had more notches so I could tie my lines to them closer to the ground

I bought these to get over the limit for free shipping. In that regard they worked fine and I needed them anyhow so win/win.As to the product, they are very lightweight and the design makes them better for holding in loose/wet ground than tent pins. I use them on my hammock rain fly.The notches at the top of the stake, hold your guylines pretty well without having to tie them on.The attached cord makes removal fairly easy. Being light aluminum, they can bend easily but can be somewhat unbent. Just be careful when pushing them into the ground with your boot. They are light enough that you can have a couple of extras along.

They are tent stakes, they stick in the ground. Rope loops are not very reflective.

They work well. The main problem is the plus-shape profile means you have four valleys that can pick up dirt, and pick up dirt they most definitely do. I can clean off my more solid tent stakes trivially with a bit of string. These require a lot of fiddling, scraping, rinsing, etc.. If that's not important to you, these are great; for proper backpacking where I'm using stakes repeatedly in several locations over several days, they're not ideal... because of the design. They're a good implementation of the design, though.

These are not worth the money and very fragile

These have a thin extruded profile that helps them resist bending well for their weight and size.Watch out for burrs forming near the tip if there was gravel in the soil. You can shave those smooth with a good knife. If you don’t then the bag is in danger.
