The larger size is best. The closure strip comes loose often, but I found closure items that work great. The plastic is firm and is easy to use over and over.

If you have previously used the Ziploc Steamer Bags (which unfortunately can not be found anywhere), these bags are no match. They do not stay sealed when microwaved and as such, the "explode" open during cooking process. The explosion sound is loud and so vegetables struggle to steam once bag seal explodes open. Not sure if you could somehow clip the bag closed prior to microwaving to ensure bag remains closed. No match for Ziploc.

Bags don’t stay sealed. Explode open while cooking so food doesn’t steam. Wishing I hadn’t bought 100 of these.

They work as advertised, I don’t like the material, I prefer the ziploc brand, hard to find those anywhere except for inflated cost here on Amazon. These will do the job, and you can’t beat the price.
