I like to read my Kindle before going to sleep at night. I would just get to a good part and the Kindlewould shut down, out of 'juice'. I ordered this 10 ft. cord and can now read as long as I want. I amretired so I don't have to get up for work in the morning :)

Having 10 foot long cord, and NOT being tied close to the wall is WHY I purchased this item .... I can lie in bed to read comfortably, remaining plugged into an electrical outlet for a power source .... Only the cord is included, NOT the wall adapter, as the AD clearly mentions ....Another reviewer stated that this is "NOT A QUICK CHARGER" .... My Kindle Fire tablet dwindling around the 20% mark, takes 5+ hours to trickle slowly up to 100% .... I knew this before I bought the cord .... No big deal for my use, as I prepare ahead of time, to be sure power needs will be sufficient for an outing day ... I'm telling you this, so you can be properly informed .... It will take a while to refill the battery .... If speed is not a concern, you will like the long cord freedom ....Quality is comparable to the original Kindle accessory ... No issue there ... Has the small kindle-end that is necessary for adaptability on the Kindle device ..... Original cord was black, this is white, but it fits my black wall adapter perfectly ... Matters not to me ....Definitely would buy again, works well, as I can plug into the wall when home reading or watching movies on the Kindle Fire ... A decent price too, as you see BEFORE you press the "add to cart" button .... I like when technology works the way it was intended .... Happy.
