I bought the 10 ft. long cord for my Kindle. It worked so well I ordered a second cord for my other Kindle. The cord is long enough to reach my plug in that is a bit far away from the comfy chair I read my newspaper and latest book I purchased. I am impressed how quickly it charges my Kindle.

Didn't expect this would work as my Kindle is a 2nd Gen Fire. It works perfectly, charges quickly, cord length is sufficent!

Extended length of cord makes charging convenient. Able to plug in and move Kindle Fire on a shelf above outlet.

I have been trying so hard to find a charging cord that is truly compatible with and made specifically for my Kindle Fire HD10 7th generation tablet. Have not had any luck at all achieving this. This particular charging cord is described as being compatible with Kindle Fire HD10 7th generation tablets (which is the tablet that I have), but I found out that it most certainly is not. This charging cord is just one more cord that I am having to return to Amazon and ask for a refund. Just like with all the other charging cords I've purchased in the last few months, I bought this charging cord believing that it is the correct cord for my Kindle Fire device, but after half a day of frustration with it, I found out that it is not, even though it is marketed as being the correct charging cord. Not only did it NOT charge the battery on my Kindle Fire when I used it, but matter of fact, it DRAINED what little power the battery had. When I began using/testing it to charge the battery, the battery already had 95% power in it, and after several hours of waiting for it to completely recharge the battery to 100%, this charger actually did the opposite of that by quickly draining the battery power down to 9% from the 95%, and at this point, I stopped using it and repackaged it for return. Amazon should stop allowing third party companies to sell second-rate, generic charging cords marketed as compatible with their Kindle Fire devices when clearly these charging cords are not compatible. This particular cord is probably the sixth or seventh cord I've purchased in as few months, and have to return for a refund. I'm sure Amazon knows the correct charging cords that are compatible with and specifically designed for their Kindle devices (the original charging cords that came with the device at the time of purchase), and I don't know why Amazon itself won't manufacture and sell those specific replacement cords themselves, instead of allowing other companies to manufacture and sell generic charging cords marketed as being "compatible" with Kindle Fire devices. Clearly these companies are just using the "Kindle Fire" brand name to make money.
