Super easy install. I used these deck railing bracket connectors to build a scaffold in my split level staircase landing so I could reach the ceiling which was like 20' from the landing. These brackets allowed me to make a quick and secure scaffold in minutes when purchasing, renting, etc. would be far more. Worked out great, I was able to perform the detail work I wanted. This deck railing brackets are an excellent value, you get a lot of brackets and hardware for the money, making these an excellent choice for making deck railing. They are made from a very durable feeling polymer plastic and fit standard 2*4 lumber perfectly. These are going to look great with the black round balusters I purchased to build my new deck railings. With how affordable and good looking these brackets are, it makes more sense to use them vs my typical cheapskate method of just screwing the rails on with deck screws. These look so professional and are gonna give my railings a finished look.

So yes, these are very versatile…Great fitting for a 2 x 4! Saddle styleThey are plastic, and has six holes for mounting, I can see the two base holes, and maybe one set of each for a different direction mounting for the screws! I do wish one of the side screws actually held the handrail , being 2 x 4 or 2 x 6 or 2 x 8 whichever.. these are designed for six screws to be mounted to the Sub wall or the boards… nothing really holding the rail itselfA slight little angle would allow you to attach the handrail, yes, you could drill two screws in from the base, and then use that for outer diagonals to use your support, but this isn’t the caseI do like the product, I think they look very professional! The color should allow for many years from the elements! I’m curious if they’ll stay this way or will they fade to a powdery gray, like most outdoor furniture that’s nylon!! time will tellI do appreciate the t style screws and provided bit! This way you’re not certain in your toolbox to find that certain bit! This was a huge plusDo I recommend these???
