I chose this splatter screen after researching just about every other option on Amazon. I wanted something plastic-free that got the job done.The pros:- This is easy to clean- I’ve not had any issues with melting on a gas stove- It’s pretty sturdy- It’s non-toxic- It allows for steam to escape without oil splatterThe cons:- It’s REALLY big. I wish they had smaller size options (as I don’t have a pan that requires 13” coverage, and this giant takes up a lot of countertop space when you need to remove it to stir or flip the food). Being able to fold it for easier storage would also be a plus.- When removing it to stir/flip food, (obviously the pan will splatter a bit,) but the splatter screen itself will also be dripping with oil, so it still leaves a mess. It’s much, much less of a mess than not using it at all, but that’s just something to keep in mind.I’m not sure there is a perfect splatter screen out there, as I did a lot of research before making a purchase. So at least this one doesn’t break the bank.

We use this screen all the time for pan frying. It keeps the grease in the pan and lets the steam out. Easy to clean and still looks like new.

Shallow/pan frying can be a nightmare for the cooking range and surrounding area. I decided to buy this splatter screen as it had great reviews. And guess what? The reviews were right. I would say this screen shield against at least 80% (if not more) of the oil splatter and I think its unfair to expect any splatter screen to completely contain all the oil splatter as it needs to vent steam properly to prevent steaming of the food. Also, its large enough to cover every pan I have. I did notice a common concern expressed by many reviewers regarding discoloration of the screen mesh after cleaning it in the dishwasher. There is an easy way to avoid it: If you want load this oil splatter screen into the dishwasher, you need to turn off the heated dry. Heated dry accelerates the formation of oxide on the metal surface which causes discoloration. I have washed this screen multiple times in my dishwasher and it still looks brand new. I would definitely recommend this product.

Really like this for cooking bacon...keeps the splatter contained, and allows steam to escape though it does trap some of it in.

What a pain in the @SS to clean 😉 and especially to rinse. But I'm already over that. Super good quality and does a really nice job of keeping no splatter on stove and letting some hot air out which lets the moisture get out if that's what you want when you're cooking and it also helps maintain heat so things will cook a little faster as if you had a lid, not as much as a lid would, but still a big help!Was skeptical but I went ahead and ordered it, received it and was even more skeptical, used it and I'm very happy. 👍
