This pump was the biggest headache for little to no outcome. It didn’t clean my pool water whatsoever and can’t get it to stop spitting sand. I plan on replacing the sand with cotton balls today. This is my last attempt before I throw this thing in the trash. PS. The seller responds with my issues saying ‘sorry only 3 month warranty I can’t help you’.

This is an excellent upgrade to a cartridge filter for any above ground pool. It comes with everything you need to install it with most quick set pools. The filter has a strainer which helps cut down on bigger debris being sucked into the sand filter. I use it with filter balls blu instead of sand and the results are amazing. Crystal clear water. For the price it's hard to beat.

This is a fantastic replacement pump and filter, it is very well made from top to bottom and has very durable components all the way around! It is heavy duty and easy to set up and get started, it works impressively and has very little noise to it at all. All the pieces that you would need are included as well as very thorough and well written instructions for assembly and use as well! Unbeatable value!

Easy to setup sand filter for your above ground pool.Direct replacement for our broken pool filter. All lines hooked up as they were. Just had to fill the main body with sand then run a backwash cycle and it was good to go.No pressure problems at all.

It's winter and our above ground pool has been retired to the shed so I can't say anything about the way it works. My last one wasn't putting out enough flow to make my pool filter work so that was disappointing.I hope this one works well because it's so nice to have a clean pool.I will update this review once summer comes around but for now, I'm optimistic.

The LAPPPLSP 13" Pool Sand Filter with 3/4HP Pool Pump is an excellent low-cost upgrade for do-it-yourself types of above-ground pools. It will provide much more circulation and improved filtering.Unfortunately, I could not test it because our pool was closed for the winter. However, I was able to examine the components, and here are my impressions.The pump has a small removable strainer basket to prevent items larger than 3mm from entering the pump and sand filter. It has a clear, easy-to-remove lid, allowing you to monitor how much debris has been collected. Since the pump is rated to filter over 3000 gallons per hour, it would be best to use this with an add-on skimmer in conjunction with the existing supply pipes, which will allow more water to enter the pump. The pump does operate on 110-120V and has a pre-wired cord. The fittings you will need to get it plumbed in are included. Some pools may require additional material for plumbing, but that would be an exception.The sand filter walls seem thin compared to other well-known brands. However, I am confident that it is sturdy enough. The design of the tubes inside the filter makes installation less complicated. The slots are evenly cut and should work well with any sand specifically graded for sand filters. A valve at the bottom of the tank drains the water for maintenance and winterization. The five-way control valve is made well and locks in at each position. There is also a pressure gauge on the five-way. Following the instructions carefully when filling the tank with sand is very important.Conclusion: This is a nice, affordable upgrade for your above-ground pool. It will provide much better filtration, thus keeping your pool water clean. It does not eliminate the need for proper chemical balancing. It certainly met my expectations. If properly used and cared for, I see no reason it shouldn't last 3-5 years or even longer, depending on factors like sun exposure, proper maintenance, proper winterization, etc. Products that meet my expectations typically get a four-star review from me, and this is no exception. So, four stars it is. I recommend it for those who wish to upgrade from the typically undersized media filter/pump combinations that come with the swimming pool kits. Upon the springtime pool opening, I will test this equipment and provide an update should I find anything of concern.
