Haven't tried doing tarts yet but I used them to make cake mix cookies and for that they worked perfectly. Having the removable bottom plate makes it so so so very easy to pop each one out. Looking forward to making more and actually trying to do some mini tarts or mini pies. and you get 16 of them! 8 would have been plenty at a time but 16. Very non-stick, heat transfer in the dark pan was normal and all the cookies cooked evenly. Can't go wrong with these if in the market for something like it.

It just happened to be breakfast time when I decided to try these. I tried “crustless breakfast tarts,” it was like a crustless quiche. The first thing you do is spray the tart molds with olive oil, which I did. When they were done baking, I took them out of the oven and they smelled and looked great – but were really difficult to get out of the mold! I was able to pop the top off, but the eggs stuck to the bottom and everything was hot… They were too yummy to write off, so I will try them again and just add a crust. I already have a couple of desserts picked out to try (forced portion control). Having individual tarts opens lots of options for decorating as well! These are a great baking tool; if you enjoy getting in the kitchen and “doing a little extra” now and then, I highly recommend these!
