Number one the attachment to drill it into the ground is not the best but the product itself is excellent. Totally worth the money and no pounding in pegs is surly the best part about this product.

We went beach camping for the first time and knew I needed something easy to use, but still sturdy enough to hold the tent up. I can let you know these were the perfect melding of the two! The drill bit attachment to put them in and take them out made it a cinch to use. They went far enough down into the sand our tent barely moved with the coastal winds. This was by far one of the best purchases for my gear I have ever made. If you are looking for something to hold down your tent or your canopy, especially on the sand. These are the ones to buy.

I will have a better idea of how well they do their job when the winds come in during March and April, we have them holding the ropes keeping the firewood tarps down over our dry Firewood. After a time in use we will either drop the star rating down or bump it up.

We bought these to stake down the tarp that covers our pool. We have always had problems with the metal tent stakes coming out of the ground when the wind starts blowing. These have stayed in the ground and kept the tarp in place.

I picked up two sets of these to old down two camper tarps. With normal soil, these drilled right in and held tight. I had a few that went into hard packed clay, which caused the drill option to not work well. I used a hammer and crow bar to make a hole about 8 inches deep, and then they worked great!

I'm using these to hold down a pool cover. I have ratchet straps going from the pool cover to these anchors. Its a temporary fix until I have the permanent anchors put in the pavers. These are nice quality. I'm in Mass and the ground is made of mainly granite and large rock. These are not easy to drill into the ground if you have weak wrists. I have small arms, but I was able to manage drilling these without breaking my wrist. I have these in areas with 3/4 inch stone , it was easy to drill through the stone, but I question if they are going to hold with the stress of the cover. I went slight deeper in the stone for a tighter fit. The others were drilled in dirt these are firm and I don't think they are going to be an issue. The ones in stone would probably be better off if they were about 18inches. These comes with everything you need, including the drill bit. I used a brushless Ryobi drill. These had plenty of power to drill into the ground. These are also really thick. Similar to rebar. I'm happy with the quality.
