I have used an older model of this for more than 5yrs. it got to point it would not hold batteries any longer, physically I mean. It still ran and was smooth. This new model has an odd start to it. I think it is because of the type of motor. It does not give that instant punch when trigger is worked but, rather it give an odd delay then it rolls hard. Almost like it is charging for a 1/2 second. Nevertheless I'll use and beat it just like the other. Also, it is noticeably heavier- not a plus. For me this is never a one handed tool, I use a smaller version all the time for that but if in a pinch, w/o great control, I use it single hand. Good blade change lever now.

I had a Ridgid recipracating saw stold out of my car, so when I replaced it I got another Ridgid replacement. I have had great results and long use ot these tools.

The tool ships as advertised and is an authentic Ridgid Tool and was shipped quickly (which is why 3 stars) BUT when I called Ridgid support today because I was unable to register the saw on the Ridgid registration site, I was told by the Ridgid representative that Amazon is NOT an authorized dealer and tools purchased through there are not eligible for the lifetime warranty. You are stuck with the warranty provided by the seller which seems to be 90 days.

Exactly what you should expect from Rigid. Construction quality and a real great addition to the rest of my Rigid tools. Its a little heavy but so is my Milwaukee wired one! Would recommend
