This is not a heavy-duty tool. Flimsy with flimsy saw blades. Would not recommend.

Too slow , gave up using it ….gone back to corded model , waiting for real Dewalt unit to go on sale ..will never buy duplicate products again

This is a good base-level saw for small trimming projects like pruning. I would not recommend it for heavier duty work, as it lacks the power of other brands. I also have a Worksite and Kobalt saw, and both will cut through thick material much more quickly.The plus for this saw is that it will work with name-brand Dewalt batteries, as well as the wide assortment of Dewalt alternative batteries. Overall, it’s a solid saw, but if you’re looking for top-of-the-line with lots of power, another brand would be my recommendation.

Purchased this tool to use on the job used it 3 time to cut a 2x4 and I could smell the motor starting to burn up worse tool I ever purchased please refund my money!

As a DeWalt fan I didn't expect much from this discount saw. But it really rocks. Lots of power and precise controls. Only niggle is that the DW battery is a very snug fit. Other than that it's a winner!

I rolled the dice on this. I needed a reciprocal saw but didn't want to shell out $250 on a dewalt one. I have all dewalt drills and bunch of batteries. So I went cheap. It accepts original Dewalt batteries and runs like a champ. I dont expect it to give me years of trouble free service but for the money I paid and the frequency I use it for, this will do just fine.Oh, and I bought the extended warranty for 3 years. What could possible go wrong.

I bought this to use when not near an outlet. I have a lot of dewalt 20v tools, so I have a lot of batteries. I was hoping this saw would be more powerful. But it's pretty weak. Has a hard time cutting through most mediums. Takes about 5 times longer than my dewalt 20v reciprocating saw.
