It's definitely not as strong/thick as the 2" horsehair you find at Joann Fabric so I had to double it. But even with doubling it since you get so much (22yds), the price was still cheaper than buying at the store so I count that as a win.

I needed a wider horsehair for the hem in a bridal gown. It worked perfectly. It was 2 inches just as described and not too stiff . Worked great.

My used this to finish my daughters circle skirt. It came out really well. Neat and not scratchy on the inside. It is really good value for the length.
