They did not specify negative or positive. The wires were food quality but did not want to take the chance of blowing speakers so I bought additional banana connections that specify Red/black (positive/negative).

Does what it is expected to. Do not trip over it because it does break the jack easily. The banana clips are not color coded.

The cables are sold as "heavy duty" but are only 18 gauge multi-strand wires inside. The banana plugs are uniform color instead of one red one black. I ordered 2 packs and got 3 black ends, one red. The plugs are solderless, the wires held in by tension screws were sticking out to the point I was afraid of a short circuit and re-did the ends. The lack of uniformity in the connection polarity is the biggest problem. These work, but be aware of the issues and don't let anyone help you hook up your system.

These are not what is shown in the picture. These are cheap crap. I would like a full refund.

Glad I know how to solder wires! These came in and the connections on the 1/4 end were both loose. The wires on the banana plug end were switched on one cord and loose on the other. If not for the super cheap price and needing them asap I would have returned this item. Haven't had any problems since I fixed them but buyers beware.
