These replacement batteries have been a game-changer for my tools. I bought them to replace the old ones for my yard work and power tools in the garage, and they’ve made everything so much easier. They hold a charge for a long time, letting me finish tasks without interruptions. I love that I can rely on them for longer projects, whether outside or in the garage.

Ordered these twice. First time right out of box one charge indicator lit, other battery did not so I was already worried. After charging both one worked fine, other would not. Returned both and got a new order. Both battery's charge indicators lit after charging both and both lit to full charge they would not operate my Sno-Joe. The machine would start and run for half of a second and right away shut down. These were supposed to be an extra set of batteries so when I put originals back in the machine ran fine. I do not recommend these batteries!

The leds indicating the state of charge is a useful feature. A quick press of the push button switch will cause the nearby leds to light up indicating the state of charge.Rather than give a subjective review of these batteries, I decided to use my battery capacity tester to measure the actual Amp Hours that each battery could provide. My results on these two batteries yielded almost identical results of approximately 5.0 Amp Hours.I tried to test these batteries the same way I had been testing other 5 cell batteries with allowances added to account for the extra cell. Since the batteries discharge through the terminals on top of the battery, I tried to use these same connectors for my tests. What happened was that after a few minutes of discharge, the battery would internally interrupt the current causing my tester to think the battery had reached the end of its discharge cycle. Every time I hit the reset button on my tester, the battery would have an indicated voltage well above the preset cut off threshold. I read through other reviews and saw that other reviewers were having similar problems using the batteries for their intended applications. I decided to try connecting directly to the internal cell terminals and that is how I performed all of the following tests. A discharge current of 1.0 Amp should not cause the Battery Management System to think the output is shorted and open the circuit to protect the battery from damage. I was mainly concerned with the advertised AH rating and whether or not the batteries met those ratings. All the following tests were made by connecting directly to the internal cell terminals on the batteries, both charge and discharge.I performed three tests on each battery. Each test consisted of a charge to 25.2 volts at a current limited rate of 1.0 Amp. I used a standard lab type supply which can be set to a maximum voltage and a maximum current. When the discharged battery is first connected the power supply will limit current to 1.0 Amp by reducing the voltage to a level that will supply that amount of current to the discharged battery. I chose these two values because the recommended upper voltage to charge each lithium ion cell to is 4.2 volts. Since these batteries each use 6 cells, 6 x 4.2 = 25.2 volts. I chose 1 amp for both the charge current limit and the discharge current limit. That is low enough that no heating of the batteries will occur on either the charge or discharge part of each cycle. Once the battery charges to 25.2 volts, the internal battery electronics will cause the cells to equalize their charges. Gradually the current will reduce down to 0.0 at which time the battery is fully charged. The 1.0 Amp discharge rate should provide a good indication to the Amp Hour capacity of the battery. A lower setting might give a slightly higher reading, but the time to test each battery would increase accordingly. The battery capacity tester I use has an adjustable lower cutoff voltage setting which will cause the tester to shut down once that battery voltage level is reached. I set this level to 2.9 volts per cell, so 2.9 volts x 6 cells = 17.4 volts. If the battery electronics dictate a higher voltage, the battery output will drop to a very low level when that voltage is reached causing the battery capacity tester to shut down. Discharging to a lower voltage level is reported to cause harm to the battery. Other batteries I have tested that were packaged in similar sized packages with a marked AH capacity of 6.0 AH still tested around 3.5 AH, for what it is worth. Not all the batteries I have tested yielded results below their stated capacities, a few have actually tested at higher values.

I recently purchased the 2 Pack 7.5Ah Lithium-ion Replacement Batteries compatible with Sun Joe and Snow Joe products, and I couldn't be more satisfied. The batteries fit perfectly into my devices, including models 24VBAT-LTX and 24V-X2-SB18, with a secure connection and no issues. The performance is impressive; these batteries provide ample power for extended use, significantly enhancing the runtime compared to my previous ones. I was able to tackle my yard work and snow removal tasks without interruptions. The 7.5Ah capacity really makes a difference, offering longer-lasting energy that keeps me going.Charging is quick and efficient, and I've noticed no significant drop in performance even after multiple uses. Plus, having an extra battery on hand means I can always keep working without downtime.Overall, I highly recommend this 2 Pack for anyone looking to replace or upgrade their Sun Joe and Snow Joe batteries. The quality, performance, and value are excellent, making these a smart investment for reliable outdoor power tools.
