-1. Remove the license plate from your car, align it into the frame to make sure all holes are fits well;
-2. Place 2 screw washers in position, screw through holes and tighten to vehicle;
-3. Place the caps over washer upright position;
-4. Push screw over down firmly until engages with a snap.

The finish on the silver-colored ones is a brushed finish. I was hoping for a more polished finish, but that's okay. Nice that they came with all necessary hardware for two plates. It really does need 4 holes to keep your license plate and frame from moving around and lifting up while driving at speed, but I will drill 2 more holes in it myself. We will see how the black letters handle the elements. If they aren't durable, I will update my review. But for the money for 2 license plate frames, you really can't go wrong. No complaints from me!
