They function as intended, it's up to you if you want to drill holes for a super secure fit. Definitely worth the price

Great idea but unfortunately will not secure the unistruts you are trying to connect well. May work for joining short pieces of unistruts, but not for anything around five feet pieces which is what I needed to do.

Works well. I used two struts connected end-to-end, and also have an upper and lower set of struts to provide more rigidity and greater support for a trolley-hoist system in my garage. The top set of struts is supported by 2 x 8 board running across the joists. The lower set of struts is connected to the upper struts by threaded rods. These connector brackets were used on both the top and bottom strut sets and are working well. You can feel a little bit of catch when the trolley goes over the joint, but it is not bad. I like the fact that you can change position of the screws in these connector brackets to avoid screwing into the slots in the struts and thereby get a solid connection.

These couplings make good secure joints when using strut channel for an overhead trolley. The screws keep the strut tight against one edge and the bottom of the joint clip which keeps the two pieces in alignment. They are easy to install and tighten down with a screwdriver or nutdriver. There are jamb nuts on the screws to keep them secure. They are made of medium duty/thickness steel and are coated with a zinc finish. The price is reasonable and the quality of the workmanship is good. I recommend them for trolley joints.
