They work great but make sure you secure the end which is the temp sensor onto the pipe or object that your heating. I did this to one pipe and it functioned as it was supposed to but I didnt on another pipe and ended up melting the insulation off because it overheated. I also had it overlapping itself in multiple areas and that could have added to the over heating issue.
