I coach competitive swimmers ages 13 through high school. This set is a great introduction to resistance swimming and has a wide ability to be used with swimmers of different abilities.Operation is simple - clip the belt on, adjust so it will "catch" at the hip, and then clip on the appropriate parachute. Start small if this is your first time.Most swimmers are surprised when they are finished training with these about two things: 1. how easy it feels to swim without them and 2. How tired they feel. Adjust your training schedule appropriately if you aren't under the guidance of a coach.I have used this type of parachute before. This is one of the best quality and value.

My 13 yo daughter and I are both swimmers. Our favorite part (mine, water aerobics, hers swim team) is when we get to carry someone as drag whether I am running across the pool, or she is swimming with them during practice. This is really fun and we can practice even if one of us is alone at the pool! Great for increasing drag, flexible options for the strength of the drag (she is stronger than me, shhh) and eas;y to put on/take off. Normal swimming after using this feels SO GOOD!! I will recommend the swim team purchase this for the elite swimmers (fewer swimmers as they get into higher levels)
