I bought these in hopes that these would be good Female side sockets. I was wrong. These do NOT hold the 2 prong plugs well at all. The plug almost falls out. Not good electrical connection. They hold ground pins well, but that's is misleading making someone thing there a good connection. These are just a bad as the all yellow ones sold everywhere. I'm returning these. The search continues.

Pretty solid design, and they're 20A rated vs the 15s you usually find in stores. These are definitely beefy and will work fine outside for me. Easy to setup, the inside connections are made nicely instead of the open contact design the cheaper ones have. These are right up there with the industrial grade ones I've messed with in the past.

These electrical plugs are useful for repairs and assembling new extension cords.Having both ends in one order saved me time. The Male and Female plugs are sturdy and well-made.They can take abuse indoors and outdoors. The built-in strain relief maintained a tight fit on the 12AWG cord and 10AWG wire.I recommend these replacement plugs

If you are always repairing extension cords, or installing appliances with cords - these are the best bang for your buck. They are built with a heavy impact resistance plastic, which are also UV resistant.Keep in mind - these are 20 amp plugs - they have the neutral prong set on a horizontal plane. They will only work with a 20 amp outlet. If your outlet has a sideways T slot on the left side (see attached picture) - you have a 20 amp plug and will be compatible with this type. This is a NEC code requirement for 20 amp rated appliance plugs. Perfect for extension cord use - as long as it is 12 gauge wire (NEC code for 20 amp rating). The assembly of these plugs are simple - however the screws are a little soft. Be careful not to strip them out. I recommend using a flat head driver to apply adequate torque without damaging the screws.Great price, stock up!

These connectors are made from a softer more durable plastic that will take the occasional bump or drop and not crack or fracture. They have the blade orientation that is specified in the code for a 20 Amp circuit. The receptacle end has the double configuration so that you can plug a 20 Amp plug into it or a 15 Amp plug. Although the receptacles in my house are all fed by number 12 wire (which is correct for 20 Amps). the plug configuration is the 15 Amp style - both hot and neutral blades are parallel. I guess I have some re-wiring to do.
