I liked using two cork layers as subflooring. Easy to for DIY person to install. By mistake, i tore it a few times, but it was easy to fix using quality tape.

This cork rips very easily, so it doesn't always adhere. But, when it remains intact and can adhere, it's great.

I like the amount of cork you get for the price. And I think it will work great for underlayment. Dislike how easy it tears. Also had to close door to room and open windows while working with it as it has a strong odor. Not very pleasant.

This is the second time I've ordered a roll of this cork underlayment to place under sheet vinyl flooring. It's great for dampening noise and temperatures, and provides a smooth surface. When placing it on the floor take care around the edges because they might rip if mishandled. The cork cuts easily with a box cutter and can also tear easily when pulling or pushing on it. It looks very nice, though, when laid out on the floor awaiting a top cover. The first cork went down a year ago and we haven't had any issues with it.

I am putting down a hardwood floor in an area I have reclaimed from the attic, and need a sound dampener because my wife said she could hear me walking around. Cork seems about the best, or so I came to believe. OK, so then which ones? Home D has some that are more expensive, rates higher. This one is cheaper by about half. I actually tried to order the one from H-D, but the delivery agent messed it up, and it got sent back after delivering the wrong package. Back to Amazon. So, I took a chance on this one (Amazon said they could deliver it next day, turned out next 2-days, but better than FedEx). Packaged about as well as anything I have ever received. Really. Got it unwrapped/boxed/unbubble-wrapped and glorious cork, Very Fragile. I guess some of the other ones may be stabilized somehow, this one is definitely as cut from the cork tree. But that is OK, as long as you handle it Very Gently, cut it with a Very sharp knife, up against a straight edge pressing down on it (or it will tear). Roll it out on the glue little bit at a time, you are not going to adjust it, use the tape stuff if you have seams, let it dry (I didn't). Works Fine. Just a bit harder. If you don't glue it down, you are going to tear it to little bits. H-D has cork glue. (Maybe Amazon too), about $25 at H-D for a gallon, which seems to be enough for this roll if you skimp a bit.

Shipping was very prompt. Product was not good. I opened the box and tried to take out the cork but it ripped and crumbled. Wanted to use this as underlayment for our floor but had to return it. The return process was easy and my payment was promptly returned.

I was extremely skeptical of what I was going to be getting. But this product exceeded my expectations. This stuff is extremely dense and heavy. It is without a doubt 100% cork. I purchased 1000 square feet of this stuff and I have no doubt it's going to suit my needs perfectly.
