Easy fix. My left hand is in a cast so I had my 10 year old do it. We can finally see the screen again.

I like repairing things around the house now that I am retired and have some time. It is the time of year when we use our pool heater here in coastal, central FL. When I flipped the circuit breaker to turn our Pentair heater on, the panel lit up but the buttons did not work. After googling fixes, I came across this fix - Just replace the small control board with the buttons. Not the mother board - the board that connects into the mother board that has the display and the buttons.BOOM! Easy fix! And we have a pool heater that works as good as new. And saved a bundle of money.

My temperature buttons stopped working. I was close to buying a new circuit board for several hundred dollars. I found a video where someone fixed their problem with just a new keypad. This one was easy to install and the price was great. My heater works like new!

On off no longer worked correctly, did not need electronic board just a new membrane switch. Also temperature sensor. Easy to replace, couple hours totally done.

Temperature on my heat pump could not be set up or down. For almost a year it was acting erratically and I needed to push the buttons 15-20 times to change the temperature and then it was jumping 3-4 degrees. The last 2 months it did not work at all. The other buttons worked fine. This control panel keypad did not have any reviews when I bought it but it looked good on the photo and it was not expensive so I purchased it. Installation was very easy. Switched the breaker off to turn off the power, unscrewed a few screws and took the corner plastic cover off, unscrewed 4 screws that hold the control board, laid the plastic frame with the control board horizontally and took a photo of it showing the ribbons (see the photo), disconnected all ribbons, took the board to the house to work on it, unscrewed 4 screws that hold the board and the plastic frame together, disconnected the ribbon that connect the board with the keypad, removed the old keypad switch membrane, cleaned the plastic frame, remove the paper from the back of the new keypad, fed the ribbon from the new keypad through the slot in the frame, aligned the keypad with the frame and stick it on the frame, assembled the board to the frame, took the assembled board to the pump and connected all the ribbons, assembled the board to the pump with 4 screws, put the pump cover back, switch the breaker on, turned the pump on, waited a few minutes so it reads the water temperature, set the temperature to a desired value and... everything is working fine. Temperature can now be set up and down.
