I took a chance and bought the less expensive pump. Saved money and didn't have to get a new washer.Make sure it fits your washer before you buy. If it does fit, I recommend buying this one. Save money when you can. Prices are crazy!

I did not want to purchase a new washer so decided to run through the diagnostics on my whirlpool washer. It indicated that I needed to replace pump. I shopped around for the pump and it was substantially cheaper this Amazon vendor. I installed and tested washing machine and working well. It’s slightly a little bit louder but well worth it set a savings. Received the part quickly.

A common complaint with the cheaper replacement pumps is that they are noisy. The one I got is very quite when pumping only water. It makes more noise when pumping some air, but I can't say it is any worse. The quality looks fine. As far as I can tell (without disassembling), the impeller design looks the same. It came with the removable/re-usable style of hose clamp, but I saw no need to re-use the old tubing. I've had it for a couple months now and I have not noticed any change in functionality.
