Installation Tips:

1. Before beginning the installation, disconnect the negative battery cable and use wheel chocks to block the vehicle's wheels.

2. The hole in the firewall must line up with the hole in the upper arm on the Throttle Pedal. Determine exactly where the Throttle Cable needs to pass through the firewall.

3. Remove the carb end assembly. Pull the inner wire out of the cable housing, insert the firewall fitting through the firewall from the engine side.

4. Insert the throttle cable adjuster into the Cable Mounting Bracket. NOTE:There must be some slack to allow for engine movement.

5. Reinstall the inner wire into the cable housing from inside the passenger compartment. Connect the clevis (or the ball end if the clevis was removed) to the Throttle Pedal.

6. Attach the carb end assembly to the throttle arm. Tighten the nut.

7. Cut the inner wire off so that roughly 1" of the inner wire will remain inside the carb end assembly.

8. Insert the inner wire into the carb end assembly. Pull all the slack out of the inner wire and tighten the set screw in the carb end assembly.

9. Check for proper operation of the throttle (and Kickdown if equipped) and adjust as necessary. Make sure there is no binding in the throttle linkage and that the throttle returns to the closed position when the pedal is released.

Just had to do a little modification. Normal for aftermarket custom parts.

THe ball and socket at the carb do not work, the ball is to small and will pop off the socket leaving you with no throttle at all. DO NOT BUY this item.

Installed this cable on a 54’ Chevy pickup I’m building for a customer. It didn’t have the end to use with a factory GM pedal that I used. Other than that- it was of good quality and works as it should.

I used this on a 70 Roadrunner which had a severely melted plastic sleeve type throttle cable. Purchased this one just to see how it would work before spending 3 or 4 times as much to buy the Lokar cable, and I'm thoroughly impressed. Very easy to customize and looks as good, or better than, the more expensive options. Highly recommend

If your not familiar with engine linkages it and not sure what needs to be done, There are easier linkages that are more friendlier to install. I've been doing stuff like this since I was 14 and I'm going to be 68 very soon.
