We wanted to use our propane fire pit on our porch. The propane fire pit works great. It doesn’t put any heat out under the fire pit.We were worried the propane fire pit would make the floor too hot.Our fire pit sits high enough off the floor. There’s absolutely no heat underneath.✅But to be safe, we ordered this welding blanket to put underneath the fire pit “just in case”.❌That being said, we would NEVER use a wood-burning fire pit on the porch because we can’t regulate the flames or the heat. This is NOT an enclosed porch.🤩 This welding blanket works exactly as we wanted it to do. The welding blanket does not even get warm. The fire pit bowl is about 8” above the blanket. The bottom of the fire pit bowl does get warm enough that we cannot put our hand on the bottom of the bowl for more than about 2 seconds.
