I wasn't sure what to do with a large pegboard in my garage. This organizer kit has helped me slowly begin organizing items as I pull them out of my basement and boxes. The set came with a good variety, including the little bins, which were especially appealing to me. I tend to use the same small bits or toss certain items on the work shelf constantly. Now, I toss these items into the small bins and a few times a year I sort them out. It keeps my workspace cleaner without me trying to always break a habit I end up always falling back into. Now, I know that spare battery, random tiny screwdriver, or whatever else is probably in one of those tiny bins.

I got a great metal peg board from Amazon and it came with a nice assortment of accessories. Even so I found that to get the most out of the board I needed some other hanger configurations. This kit has enough variety to satisfy my needs. Some may think this many pieces is overkill but everyones needs are different and it's great to have so much variety to choose from. The bins are a nice touch. Some of the longer pieces could be a bit stronger. Other than that I am very pleased with this kit.

This is a pretty extensive set of pegs, and will go a long way to filling in the pegboards in my garage and basement, and helping to organize things. Getting a big set saves having to hunt down a bunch of different hooks type by type. The retainers are a helpful bonus (see below on that), and the plastic tips are nice. I'm happy enough with them overall to keep the set.There are some things to consider on the negative side, however. The retainers are a big part of the total item count, so keep that in consideration. Also, they don't work on a big portion of the hooks. A hook has to have a vertical section that extends down at least one peg space for the retainers to cover it. Some of the styles COULD have been made that way, but weren't, so they're easy to knock loose...particularly the ones that stick farther out. Also, the thickness of the wire they're made from varies, so some are more sturdy than others. This is an inconsistency that could have been avoided with some better sourcing and manufacturing control. The bins are of little use to me, just providing a place for small parts to wait until they're accidentally bumped and spilled all over the floor.

I have a large area of pegboard, with 1/8" holes. Over the years I've collected various hooks and other hangers, but always seemed to be short of some kinds. Now I'll never be short again (assuming I don't get more pegboard :)).Your use case may be different from mine, but I'll include a few photos of my setup.Pliers and vice grips are always hard to hang--I finally figured out that the vice grips are most stable hanging upside down, as you can see in my first photo. Pliers are a bit harder, but the long rack with the pins sticking out handles most (toward the bottom middle of that picture); the long racks are also good for screw drivers (second photo) or box wrenches (lower right of first photo), although I don't know what I'd do with wrenches that have the open end at both ends. Some pliers can drop into the C-shaped mounts, like the red-handled pliers at the lower left; these are also good for hammers and other large tools. (The speaker in the photo is attached with a screw, not included in this set.) Finally, the plastic bins are good for shorter things that don't hang, like the hex drivers and angled screwdriver in my third picture.The seller points out that many of their hangers have two pegs on the back to make them more secure when hanging--see my fourth photo for two kinds of these (and one of the seller's photos shows more kinds). That works reasonably well in the 1/8" holes in my pegboard, but some of the holes are a bit worn, and these hangers fit more loosely there--which makes me wonder how they'd do in 1/4" holes. (Not all the hangers have--or need--this second peg.) The set also includes black plastic retainers ("buckles", shown at the top of my fourth picture). In my experience, these hold the hangers quite securely, but know that they take up two more holes, one on each side of the hangers. That prevents you from using the hangers in the column of holes next to a stud--a minor inconvenience.Most of the other pieces have obvious uses. However, I haven't figured out a use for the two long black tubes (approx. 3/8" diameter) and their holders; I guess they're for a roll of paper towels.A warning: one of the seller's pictures shows a *different* kit--it's the photo with the white baskets on the right. These baskets are *not* included in this set, nor are the shelves on the left-hand side of that picture, nor the deeper plastic bins in the middle. The other photos by the seller appear correct. The seller's description also says "286-Transparent Box". I don't know what that's referring to. There are 286 pieces (I didn't actually count, but I can believe it), and there are 8 transparent plastic boxes--but putting "286" together with "transparent box" is a bit confusing.If you just have a small area of pegboard, this 286 piece set is overkill (the seller has other sets which may be more appropriate). But if you have a wall or more of pegboard, this is ideal.

I had a sheet of pegboard but kept putting off getting pegs for it. Saw these and had to try them since they were a great price. I am now much more organized and still have a lot of pegs left over to get even more organized.

It looks like cheap metal, however it's definitely strong enough to hold whatever you put in or on them. Great value for how many pieces you get. Thinking about buying another box.
