We purchased these for lake swimming over the summer. Our kids quickly discovered they could wear them front or back, depending on how they wanted to float. It kept them safe in the water, which gave us peace of mind.I will note, our kids have had swim lessons. The ages of my children who used these were 8, 6, and 5. They know how to hold their breath, do basic floats and strokes. I would not advise these for kids who do not know the safety basics of swimming. This is a safety precaution, not a guarantee.As for actually getting them on the kids, the straps were easy to tighten, and the snap buckle was easy to take on and off, for grown-ups. The kids couldn't do it themselves, which is a good thing when considering safety. Also, it was comfortable enough that my autistic/adhd son was happy to wear it.

These are great for learning to swim. This is the same design used at our local swim lessons. They teach the correct position for a toddler/big kid learning how to swim. It gives just enough support to keep the child’s face above the water.I wouldn’t recommend for anyone smaller than about 40 lbs due to the ability to make it small enough around the child’s waist.

I bought these hoping to use them as a ski belt when swimming. However, they’re rather small for a larger gentlemen such as me. Would work great for petite women and children. Returned them with zero issues from the seller.

They are lightweight and easy to clip and adjust.They keep my kids afloat enough while still learning to swim and float.
