I'm a big guy. Once I've got my work gear and tool belt on, step ladders with 300lb claims make me a bit nervous. This thing with a claimed 900lb weight limit is rock solid though. By far the most sturdy step ladder I've ever used. I don't think I'd want to push it anywhere near 900lbs, but I have no concerns using it for anything I'd think to use it for.
