I wasn't really expecting much from this paper considering the low price. Over the last few months I've been ordering and trying out a variety of smaller sizes of cold press paper that said they were 100% cotton and then reviewing them on an art discussion forum I belong to. To my surprise, though, this turned out to be one of the better ones I've found. I really like it and will stock up on more as needed. I only paint mostly in small sizes because I don't have a very big area of my house to use as a "studio" so smaller is better for me. This paper is textured the same on both sides and it's just a joy to paint on. Colors are vibrant on it and it absorbs well, drying at a good rate---not too fast and not too slowly. I recommend it highly.

Okay, I must admit I had my doubts about this watercolor paper but it's exceeded all my expectations. First off, the paper is thick enough to feel sturdy and durable, but thin enough to easily cut down to the size I need. I have been painting on this paper several days a week for hours at a time and the way it absorbs water is beautiful. It makes it feel like you've spent more money than you have - which is a wonderful value. The size of these sheets is perfect for what I need. They make it easier to cut down to the little sizes I use without having large bulky sheets to fight with.

5 stars. This paper is great for cyanotype out of the box. I made an image as soon as I got the paper and was impressed. I'm only a beginner but I've already tried several other watercolor papers and this was great using Mike ware's cyanotype formula. I also made a 10% sulfamic acid bath to preacidify the paper, but I dunked a sheet and I waited and waited and got not a single bubble which means that this paper doesn't have buffer or at least no alkaline material. Totally recommend it.

Some of the sheets were creased, or had deep dings in them or the corners were bent. I am returning this item for refund.

Really great quality for the price. Paper is thick and functions well for a multitude of mediums. Better than a lot of expensive brands. It doesn't pill up as easily as other paper yet still holds the water great and has even distribution and flow. Great for anyone, but especially beginners who tend to overuse water when first starting out. For sure my go to now.

I am just getting started, so I wanted less expensive papers to practice on. This is a great value, and I like the size, as it is somehow less daunting for me to work on smaller pieces of paper--also easier to tape down to the plastic clipboard I use to hold my paper. It is not Arches--and I didn't expect it to be at the price point. (Honestly, I would be afraid of ruining expensive Arches paper, and would likely not use it!) This could have been packaged better, but came in a box with lightweight items, so it was not too worse for wear. This is just what I needed.

This is a decent value for 300 sheets of cold press watercolor paper. However, it was wrapped in cellophane and tossed into an Amazon box and shipped--no protection for the paper at all. When I opened the box, the cellophane was broken open and papers in a bit of disarray with corners bent and damaged. The paper is thick and has a strong tooth or texture on one side and a bit more reserved on the other. It's a good set for practice and learning, but I probably wouldn't use it for real high-quality art. But, with 300 sheets, it does give you lots of practice for about $0.20 per sheet, which is pretty cheap for water color paper.
