Nice floral drawings, arranged artistically around the page,📑 to paint with your own paint; each page is 9” x 12” inches, so a nice size. Includes a page of small examples of the colored drawings for reference, although the colors are restricted to just a few in all the examples, and you can’t tell exactly how they were painted. The paper is thick but not tough; scrubbing or lifting will pill up the wet surface. The paper surface is soft, so it absorbs paint more like a sponge than highly sized, harder surfaced, good watercolor paper. Because of the absorbency, the paint tends to not move around a lot, which some might like for precision painting, and some might not like it because it’s harder to create special effects with the paint. So the paper is fairly decent, but for someone used to better quality paper, it can prevent you from using some of your regular watercolor techniques. It’s a decent set if you want to skip the drawing stage of painting, but the paper, while heavy and with some texture, isn’t high grade watercolor paper with the benefits that brings. However, the set wouldn’t be in the affordable price range if the paper was higher grade. I think it’s an interesting set, and I did enjoy painting the lovely drawings.

Reading the description on the listing I was a little confused whether this was a watercolor coloring book or watercolor paper. The answer is both. There are seven preprinted line art images that you can paint and then the rest of the pad is blank watercolor paper. The images are all of flowers and they are beautiful! If the paper would have been a bit better quality I would have given this five stars. But the paper isn’t my favorite. Firstly it’s quite yellowish and secondly it’s not 140lb which is what would be recommended for watercolor. Because of this I find that it warps quite a bit with wet on wet even taped down. Also the pigment doesn’t travel well on this paper. You really have to work with it to get it to spread and that gives an overworked appearance that I’m not crazy about. Now I’m not an expert at watercolor so more experienced painters might have better luck with it. I would recommend this to hobbyists. Even with the paper issues it’s still quite relaxing to “color”/paint the line work…which is why I gave this four stars. It’s fun and a great way to unwind after work. I wonder if watercolor pencils might be a better option with this paper. I would be able to better control the pigment and use less water. I also think it would be nice with gouache. So for the price I would recommend it to those that just love dinking around in their craft room like I do.

The idea of a watercolor coloring book made me so excited. I really hoped to enjoy this item big time with my current hyperfixation on watercolor. But the paper quality, despite being thick, isn't that highThe paper did ok with lots of water, but the right texture of the paper showed it's flaws. When lifting or dabbing, the paper rolled and peeled so easily. It was impossible to remove painters tape without tearing the paper even when heating it first. The lines are cool but the more I stare at them, the clearer it is these are AI art lines that in places make little sense and the compositions have some really odd choices. One bouquet has a random stem by itself off on the edge of the sheet away from the centered composition. Like no one would want to do that. It's not even a good flower it's just a stem.I'm convinced this is just AI lineart on rough paper that isn't sturdy enough to paint on with watercolors. All in all, very disappointed and would not purchase again for a gift or even for a child. It made my watercolor work look significantly worse than on regular student grade pads.

Beginner or intermediate 9x12" watercolor pad with half the pages preprinted with light-brown outlines and the rest blank. The finished examples are included on a single sheet for reference. This is good for someone who likes to paint but maybe can't draw or who isn't sure what to draw but likes flowers.I usually prefer to draw my own images but I thought I'd try it one day when I was too tired to be creative and discovered I could still be creative with how I used colors and applied the paint. It's like paint-by-numbers without the numbers. The thickness of the paper is reasonably good but I still pulled out the sheets and taped them to a board with artist's masking tape to prevent the paper from curling (I tend to use quite a bit of water).Very fun, good learning tool, or for an artist who needs a break once in a while to splash paint without having to dream up something new to draw.

Poor quality yellowish color paper. Bent edges. Not cold press or hot press but something strange with added texture. No directions just a couple small pictures of what your painting. Outlines are traced on 7 pages for you. You also get 7 blank pages. Far Less than 120 lbs weight paper. Outlines are strong enough to be seen through most light colors. Pictures for you to copy are tiny. They don’t tell you how to paint or any step by step or directions or any helpful hints. That being said I had fun playing with it and just enjoying to loosen up a bit before something more serious. Just don’t expect too much and you will enjoy it. It does not come with brushes or paints. Look the pictures and the difference between the white card with the pictures and the actual paper you paint on. Keep in mind it’s all florals.
