I originally bought this to repair a starter rope that had failed. But when this roll of rope came, not only will I be able to replace my starter rope, but I will be able to use this to reach some tall branches to pull a larger rope up and over it so I can control where it falls after cutting. The rope strands are tightly wound and stout so I think this should wear well used as a starter rope. I am pleased with this rope.

I already had a spool of thinner started cord for chainsaws and weed eaters. I needed something larger for mower sized engines, and this fit the bill. This cord feels and looks like a quality product. I have used products in the past that I was hesitant to pull on, but I feel good about the strength of this cord.

This is 50 meters long, which would last most anyone that wasn't running a repair shop a lifetime. At 3.5mm this is generally rated for chainsaws and larger 2-cycle engines. Some 4-cycle push mowers and similar small engines may use this too. This is too small for the bigger stuff like my log splitter rope that is starting to fray but I've got plenty of chainsaws around so this rope is not likely to get too lonely. With this much rope I'll be using it for other things that come up. Would make good rope for pulling stuff up in a tree stand which is what I may be using some of this for. It's always nice to have this stuff around for the unexpected rope snap so very glad i have it. Good quality. Recommended.

I got this because I repair small engines and it's 50' which will last a long time. I like the thick 4.0mm rope because pulling the starter rope on a lawn mower can break ropes, especially if the starter recoil gets stuck or the control cable fails. So I usually go with 4.0mm for added protection. I'm very pleased with how the rope is loaded onto spool and shipped.

> FJSaDobo 3.0mm 100-Meter Starter Rope ~$18The Good:+ Strong+ Smooth+ Should handle hot temps much better than nylonThe Bad:- Looks like a pull rope. It is a pull rope, but it's more than that. A nicer color would be nice. This cord can be used for all sorts of things, from camping to tie-downs. As long as it's not on anything sharp, it will work great.

I had to replace the starter rope on my MS200T and this fit perfectly. This is the same size rope that most Stihl chainsaws take, and for that matter, most of my 2-stroke equipment, so this large roll will be used eventually.I've only had this installed for a couple of weeks, so I can't say anything about the longevity of the rope. I did notice that it has gotten slightly thinner in just a few weeks of using, and it seems to be slightly softer / less tightly woven compared to the Stihl rope. With a Stihl saw, it's pretty common to require 7 pulls to start on a cold start, and 3-4 pulls on a warm start. They have this rated at 8,000 pulls, but if you start your saw 10x per day, then you can expect about 2 years of use.Either way, I guess for the price of this you can get 40+ ropes for the price of 2 Stihl ropes, so a pretty good value.
