This may be a great tool for certain large scale jobs such as building but it really is just too large and impractical to use on an everyday basis. Other than to test it, I've not yet had the opportunity to put it to good use. The digital readout feature is really nice, easy to read.

I've dropped my old generic tape measure enough that I finally needed a new one and thought I'd try this. I like the idea of having some extra features, but this feels more like a tool for specialty jobs than a general use primary tape measure. It's certainly a bit bulkier and the shape is a bit limiting, but I do appreciate some of the features included. I did have the reference the instructions to figure out how everything worked (and still need to reference it when needed) as the buttons aren't super intuitive. Most of it is plastic but it does have a decently solid feel to it.Overall, it works fine and adds some extra stuff, but I kind of just miss having a normal tape measure and will probably look to get one for general use. If you regularly need some of the features offered here, an all-in-one device is kind of cool, but the extra bulk and fiddly controls might not be worth the hassle unless you need it.

This laser tape measure has a few functions that any carpenter or DIYer would enjoy. It has a green laser that comes out vertically as you measure, I haven't really found a use for that yet as it's not that stable to use but in hard to reach places you can set the tape away and use the laser to give you semi accurate markings. I did notice it's about 1/16th off from what the tape reads to where the laser marks. So for rough work it's good but I don't use it often. The tape is also kind of hard, the mechanism used to pull the tape in isn't that strong so you need to hold the device a certain angle for the device to be able to retract the tape. It also doesn't come out smoothly as it's default is to hold the tape out in locked mode. Can be useful where sometimes manually setting the lock , the lock will let go on other tape measures. The part I like is the laser measurement, you but the rear of the device where you want to set 0 and then you hit the laser button and it digitally shows you the measurement. It's fairly accurate too. The difficult part is it gives you measurements in decimals so you have to figure out what that is in inches. Perhaps there's a setting to change that but I could not find one in the instructions. The other downside is compared to other laser measurement devices, this thing is way too bulky to carry in your tool belt, it's a nice concept the ergonomic handle but if you actually work in the field, you know this is too big. I keep it in a tool bag with other precision tools like my fine chisels and combination squares. It does have a strong feel to it where I'm not afraid of it breaking. On the positive side you can charge it with a built in battery.It did everything intended but unless it's for hobby, not the best option.

Tried the tape on the ongoing project.It makes it easier than using a standard straight edge that needs to be moved if not long enough.The laser line does the job in one go.

Con un diseño bastante original y practico para su uso con una sola mano, tenemos este metro para realizar mediciones de diversas formas. Con flexo de metal para las mas cercanas y con medición laser para largas distancias, pudiendo utilizarlo en casi cualquier situación si necesidad de cambiar de metro.. El dispositivo nos ofrece una cinta métrica de metal de hasta casi 5 metros de larga, con indicaciones marcadas y de muy buena visibilidad y escalas internacional y americana. Por lo que es perfectamente utilizable en los dos lados del océano, aunque el sistema métrico sea el oficial y más utilizado. Con un sistema de bloqueo de la cinta y marca laser para mayor precisión.. En la parte de laser y medición a mas distancias, tenemos un sensor clásico para ello, con un puntero de marcado del objetivo y una pantalla superior de fácil lectura para tener los datos de inmediato. Pudiendo utilizarlo tan pronto lo encendemos y tener una respuesta rápida y sin demoras. Con un rango de precisión muy bueno y que se sitúa inferior al 0.01% de la medición final.. La guía laser verde que se proyecta sobre la cinta o si estamos realizando medidas con el otro sistema, nos ayudará a determinar los bordes o zonas a marcar. Con una gran visibilidad y precisión al borde del dispositivo.. El sistema de medidas también nos permite utilizar y guardar datos de las mismas en la memoria interna del dispositivo, para posteriormente anotarla o guardar esos datos, o realizar cálculos mas complejos de elevaciones, superficies, alturas o distancias medias. Un pequeño ordenador a nuestra disposición que nos evita tener que llevar un papel para anotar esos datos y posteriormente tener que calcularlos manualmente.. Y todo ese trabajo se refleja en su pequeña pantalla de EXCELENTE resolución, con una actualización de datos y medidas instantánea y que nos permite realizar ajustes de escalas, sistema de medidas u otros datos.Un sistema de medida que engloba lo mejor de otros sistemas de medición, donde la cinta métrica gana en pequeñas distancias y precisión. Y donde el laser consigue obtener datos fiables incluso con metros y metros de medición. Llegando a mas de 60 metros para esas medidas con dicho sistema.Su forma es práctica, pero algo extraña y por tanto será normal que tardemos en acostumbrarnos a usarlo. Pero, de todas formas, la capacidad de obtener datos precisos está por encima de sus inconvenientes de formas o colocación de todos los controles manuales en su lateral.Dispone de un sistema de aviso sonoro que nos puede facilitar mucho mas el trabajo y su sistema de alimentación con batería interna nos ahorrará tener que tener disponibles pilas de repuesto. Con cualquier powerbank podemos recargarlo de nuevo por su puerto USB C.MUY BUENA OPCIÓN y con capacidades de trabajo avanzadas para cualquier profesional.

Un ami m'avait prêté un outil du même genre mais d'une autre marque. Celui-ci est un peu moins bien au niveau de la finition et de l'utilisation, mais ça reste un accessoire génial. Le petit coup de crayon à gauche et à droite de la mesure avec le trait du laser à 90°, c'est un vrai gain de temps. La prise en main est très bonne grâce à la poignée. En contrepartie, l'outil est imposant ! On est loin du mètre déroulant qu'on garde en poche quand on bricole...
