Wonderful whistle and convenient flashlight. A single triple A that's all you need.

This flashlight has a tough plastic exterior that appears to be splash-proof. It's a good extra flashlight to have on hand when you need one. It operates on a single battery, so be sure you keep spares on hand. I like the lighter beige color, easier to find in a drawer or on a shelf.

In less than a week the lanyard has detached from the whistle. Also, I guess I was expecting the light to be powered by a rechargeable lithiums battery. It uses a a single AA alkaline battery. The whistle works without any problems.

My son just joined cub scouts and as a small child, they love playing with flash lights at night so they always have one with them. Including the whistle into the flash light insures that he will always have an emergency whistle if he gets lost or runs into trouble while out at night. Also having the whistle built into the flash light makes it impossible to forget one of the cub scouts 6 essential items, the whistle. The build quality of this flash light is very good and I am very happy with it. The only reason I took off one star is because the "lantern" function seems like a waste. The idea of sticking a bottle of water onto the end of the light and then carrying the bottle around seems a little strange to me. I wish they would have engineered this to simply have the flashlight slide out and have a 360 degree lens. This would allow the light to be worn around the neck and provide a hands-free light source.Overall my son loves this flashlight, and it is now a very important piece of our camping gear.

This little gadget is super useful for camping or keeping in an emergency kit. The flashlight is bright enough for general use, and the lantern function is a nice bonus—especially when paired with a water bottle to diffuse the light. The whistle is a smart addition for safety, though it's not the loudest. It’s lightweight, easy to carry, and runs on a single AAA battery, which is convenient for backup situations. The IP44 rating is decent for outdoor use, but I wouldn’t rely on it in heavy rain. Solid choice for a compact all-in-one tool.

Maybe I've been spoiled by the latest wave of flashlights that include a beefier battery, but while this does light, I'd much prefer to carry a bit more weight and bulk and get a light that is substantially brighter. This is promoted for camping and outdoors, and it's just too dim for me to envision depending on it outdoors. It comes with an AAA battery, which is good news and bad. Good news is that you can carry spares. Bad news is that it's not USB rechargeable. To my earlier point, It doesn't seem like one AAA battery can give enough to get a light you can work or survive by. The whistle seems like a good, handy idea.

Is it a flashlight with a whistle or a whistle with a flashlight? I'd have to say this seems more like a whistle with a flashlight to me. The whistle seems to be the primary function although the other features seem to do okay. I like that you can add a water bottle to make a lantern, but the friction fit into the mouth of the water bottle isn't the most secure. The flashlight isn't the brightest but, running on only 1 triple A battery is a plus. The whistle works great and it pretty loud. This seems more like something you'd take into the woods while camping than something you'd add to your keychain for walking to your car in a dark parking garage. The size of it feels larger than it needs to be. I'd say if you think you'll need a whistle, get this. If you're looking mainly for a flashlight, maybe there are better options.

I got this 3-in-1 flashlight, lantern, and whistle for my car—runs on AAA batteries, comes with a lanyard. The flashlight’s good, not amazing—casts a solid beam to see in the dark, but don’t expect a floodlight. The whistle is LOUD, like ear-piercing loud, which could come in clutch if I’m stuck somewhere. Feels okay to hold, though the plastic creaks a bit. My kid’s obsessed—keeps swiping it from the car to mess with, which is cute until I need it. It’s a decent little tool for the price, just not a must-have. Gotta wrestle it back from him constantly.
