"I've been using it in an outdoor swimming pool for more than half a year. It has endured heavy rain and intense sunlight, and the control panel hasn't rusted or malfunctioned at all. I've replaced the controllers of unbranded products twice before, and they always had poor contact. This 42002-007S obviously has more solid materials, and the buttons are very sensitive to the touch. It seems that it can be used for a long time."

"Compared with other brands, the temperature control accuracy of this one is indeed more precise, with a temperature difference of no more than 0.5℃. I ordered two of this product. They both have all wire harness clips manufactured with the tooth that should hold the harness in place backwards. The harnesses can not clip securely to the board. The white plastic clip looks like it was molded backwards. The tooth is supposed to face in towards the harness but is actually facing out where it does nothing to secure the harnesses.

I like to do my own repairs around the house. I'm not so much worried about saving the money I'd pay a professional as I want to do the job right. It wasn't that long ago that it was difficult to be a 'DIY' repairman with your swimming pool equipment. The actual job was easy enough, but the hard part was getting the right parts. Your only real option was to use OEM replacement parts and they weren't always anxious to sell them direct to the consumer. Thankfully, there's now plenty of third party companies making parts that are just as good or better. This circuit board, for example, which I used to repair my pool heater. It took minutes to 'plug and play' the replacement board and now the heater is working great again. Recommended!

bought a much cheaper one and it wouldnt work. this one fired up and works great vs. the $600 hayward nonsense. hayward, if you're listening you're a disgraceful greedy company with overpriced junk. doesnt come with the jumper for the ext control interface so make sure you grab that from the old board and turn off the circuit breaker because i almost shorted out the new board even though the 24v relay was off...it's getting power somewhere somehow so kill the breaker!
