Used on Hayward Pool Products H-series Low NOx induced Draft Heater, this unit is of 240 V mode, that delivers air to the burners. This air is used to combust the fuel. This air is also used to purge the combustion chamber of unburnt fuel before ignition & after the burners turn off.

The blower model above worked great and was compatible with my Hayward H400IDL pool heater unit. Initially, I was getting an "AO" service reading on the unit and the pool was not heating up. I called my pool guy's technician and he came by to inspect the heater which was not blowing air at the time. He came out, cut the heater on, and put his hand over the vent and said, that the blower was out and I would be better off purchasing a new heater because to fix the current one would cost (around $2000) just as much to fix as getting a new one. He quoted me $4400 for and new pool heater (Jandy w/400,00 btu) installation..... What a joke and a waste of $85 for the service call with the tech who did nothing at all but tell me I needed an entire new heating unit with basically no other options given to address the problem.....Then I did a little troubleshooting myself on the internet and found this blower on amazon and read some comments of other people who had purchased this item prior.....Thereafter, I purchased the blower and it worked like a charm. It was very simple and easy to remove the old one and replace it with the new one.... I took me about 30 minutes to remove the old one and install the new one. Only 12 phillip screws to remove, then replace on the new one.....Well worth the money if your not trying to purchase an entire new heating unit. So pool owners, be aware of suspect pool techs trying to upscale their profits off your purchasing power..

Due to covid, the delivery of this product was longer than expected, I managed to find one local. Which I purchased and used. So no longer needed this unit. However, just to compare, this unit fit as described and much cheaper; so if my local purchased motor fails... I know just where to get another/recommend. I will receive a full refunds for my return, and I am very pleased w/ that; thank you!!!

My Hayward H400IDL pool heater stopped working after getting an AO code and was told by 2 different technicians that my control board was bad. After a little research I saw other reviews and tried replacing the blower motor myself. To my delight the pool heater started working again.

This was a direct replacement for my 12 year old heater, an H400IDL2. This blower works perfectly and saved me a ton of money. I actually had a local pool repair company come out and diagnose my heater. They told me the circuit board was the problem and it would cost nearly $1,000 to fix. If that did not fix the problem then it was most likely the blower which is no longer available. Needless to say, they were trying to sell me a new heater for around $4,000. I paid them for the diagnostic fee, replaced the control panel, which did not fix the problem. Then I found the blower on Amazon, installed it myself in about fifteen minutes, and it fired right up. The heater works like normal again. I decided to keep the control panel too. The old one was pretty faded from all the years in the sun.

just installed today. as one other reviewer stated, the ground wire was missing. I re-used the old ground wire. Everything is working well and the install was very quick.maybe 30 min if you are taking your time.

Arrived early which was great. Fit exactly as advertised. Ground wire was missing but used the old one. Saved $250 by installing myself. Hot tub spa is back in business. Love doing business with Amazon
