Works with Meta Quest HDMI Link. Just make sure you have a decent HDMI cable (I used a Nintendo Switch cable). Will accept 4k and outputs 1080, just like advertised.

I Think I Got A Used Item (See Photos). The Device Itself Did Not Show Signs Of Wear. There Is No Manual! There Is A QR Code To Get A Manual, But The URL Site Cannot Be Reached. I Ran A Few Test Runs Which Was Extremely Challenging Without A Manual (I Had To Refer To YouTube Videos). I Was Able To Get Both Sound And Video Recorded From My DVD Player Playing Back Home Made Videos On Disc. Video Quality Looked Bad Using VLC (Perhaps I Need To Make Proper Changes Within VLC). The Video Quality On OBS Studio Was Very Good. I Will Keep Messing Around With This Device, But I Might Return It Back. Totally Unacceptable To Deliver A Used Item. There Was No Indication From Amazon Saying They Caused The Damage.

Bought this to connect devices directly to oculus with hdmi. This device does that job, but you'll need a USB-C to HDMI converter or cable.

I did not expect this inexpensive usb3.0 capture adapter to work so well. I get 60fps @1080p in OBS under MacOS and the quality is as good as your HDMI connected device. I used an older NX500 camera I had laying around and outputted the HDMI signal to the capture device and it works 100%.It works in FaceTime as well and also discord. I also tried capturing 4K @30fps in OBS and that also worked flawlessly. Remember this device only captures your HDMI source output. It all depends on what you want to do with your captured input - stream it and/or recording. I got this device primarily to try to see if I can use it for FaceTime and Discord and it worked 100%.You do not need to fork over for something expensive this one will do just fine! The device recording and streaming for over 30 minutes has little to no heat either. If you record 4K input, it will warm up a bit but nothing close to hot. Overall a fantastic inexpensive capture device for MacOS that I've been searching for for the the longest time.PS - for audio, I use an external xlr mic and external usb audio interface. It will not capture HDCP content. It will not capture HDR content from your PS5 either. It will do 60fps @1080p flawlessly and 4K @30fps without all the HDR and 120Hz+, however.
